Giving thanks should be natural as God's creatures and especially as his people...but with hard hearts and all sorts difficulties, trials and transitions in life it isn't.
Psalm 136 is meant to shape us into a Thankful people with the core premise of God's goodness that our hearts, life's event and the culture around us all question. God's goodness is reflected in that all his actions of creation and redemption in his story and our story are done from the motive of his loyal and forever covenant love.
This sermon will be a simple attempt to reset and reshape our hearts into responsive and thankful hearts based on who God is and what He's done. A sermon playing the one string of this psalm, that His steadfast love endures forever....
